For people with nobody to show them the way

Someone from the city

You want to try hunting or fishing but don't know the land or the people. A guide takes care of the ground, the gear and the safety.

The new hunter in the family

You have your licence, not the experience yet. A first hunt with a guide means learning in the right place, with someone who knows the game.

The visitor from abroad

From France, Europe or the US, you dream of a black bear or a walleye in Québec. Find who offers that trip, where, and at what price, before you buy your ticket.

How it works

  1. 1

Pick hunting or fishing, then a species

Moose, black bear, wild turkey, walleye, brook trout, ice fishing… The map keeps only the guides who offer it.

  2. 2

Spot the guides on the map

One pin per guide: orange for hunting, teal for fishing, gold for both. Share your location and each guide shows how far away it is.

  3. 3

    Read the offer

What's included, lodging, the region, the species and the price per person, when the guide gives it.

  4. 4

    Contact the guide

Their name, phone, email and website show after a short ad. You talk to them directly: no middleman, no fees.

Tips before you go

Frequently asked questions

Is GuideHunter free?

Yes. GuideHunter is free for people looking for a guide, with no account and no fee. It is also free for guides and outfitters who want to list their offers.

Why do I watch an ad to see a guide's contact details?

A short, optional video ad is what keeps the app free for everyone, users and guides alike. After the ad, you see the guide's name, phone, email and website.

Can I book or pay for a trip in the app?

No. GuideHunter does not take bookings or payments. You contact the guide directly by phone, email or through their website, and you agree on dates, price, deposit and conditions with them.

How are guides checked?

Every offer is reviewed by our team before it appears on the map. That review does not replace your own checks: before booking, ask the guide which licences and permits they hold, and confirm the rules with the province's official sources.
